Odfjell Global Business Services was established in 2015 as part of the process in centralizing all global support functions in Odfjell Drilling into one unit supporting our business areas worldwide. Global Business Services consist of Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and IT. Our goal is to deliver cost effective and quality business support services to their Business Areas.
You will report to VP Finance in Odfjell Energy Business Area and be a part of the Odfjell Global Business Services’ Finance team.
Key areas of responsibilities
Your role will be to support global project activities for both lump sum and rechargeable contracts. This includes a wide range of tasks - such as creating, maintaining, and monitoring financial forecasting and scheduling on assigned projects. You will provide functional guidance to the projects on financial control issues across the project life cycle and provide financial risk management for projects/project portfolios. You will also give guidance and quality control to clients and suppliers.
You will often excel on your strong improvement skills, challenging and supporting the project control organization in moving forward, aiming to improve in both our projects, portfolios and commercially, optimizing contract opportunities. In addition, you will contribute to developing our ERP system tools, to support efficient project execution.
You will establish and maintain close cooperation with the project managers and collaborate across disciplines and business areas.
The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree within economics or finance, as well a minimum of 5 years’ experience within project control. A solid understanding of the commercial and business management aspects of projects is required, as is professional experience in understanding, developing, applying, and maintaining efficient financial processes.
Fluency in Norwegian and English is a requirement, as is extensive experience with MS Excel and ERP systems. Knowledge of IFS is beneficial.
