We partner with global digital players such as Google, Meta and Netflix, and Mobile Network Operators worldwide, to provide the best possible user experience. We secure connectivity for over 200 million subscribers, enabling them to stay connected independent of where they are. Telenor Linx is the result of merging the two global units Telenor Digital AS and Telenor Global Services AS and is fully owned by Telenor Group. The company has a yearly revenue on the north of 2 BNOK and engages 200 people across the world with offices in Norway (HQ), Sweden, Poland, Dubai, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore. We are searching for new talents to take part in building Telenor Linx and develop global services benefitting mobile subscribers worldwide.

Technology teams in Telenor Linx consists of highly skilled individuals who make sure that our mobile core setup and IP Network develop according to the state-of-the-art industry standards and operate at maximum performance and 5-nines availability. Our networks and systems are undergoing transition to software-based and DEVOPS way of work and we are looking for excellent engineers withing operations, maintenance and automation. 

As Core Network Engineer – Signaling/Messaging you will play an important role in operations and maintenance of our global mobile signaling network/messaging setup. You will be part of team responsible for resolving incidents coming to 2nd line through traffic analysis and complex troubleshooting and implementing changes as well as supporting product development. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors and customers. You will support new initiatives and contribute in develop new solutions and technical design. In scope of our automation and virtualization strategy, a successful candidate will apply his/her competence and experience to shape the company’s technology platforms and define the development roadmap. The successful candidate collaborates well with others, share knowledge, experience and information and support others in the pursuit of team goals.

Key responsibilities: 

• Operations and maintenance of mobile network core functions to enable international roaming signaling, voice, messaging and IPX services.  
• Operations and maintenance of operations support tools
• Implementation of changes, expansions, testing and optimization. 
• Automation and development of process and routines in order to maintain network and support systems.

We are looking for someone with:  

• A higher degree in Telecommunications and/or IT technology.
• Knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/5G mobile core network architecture, including knowledge of one or more of the following core functions STP, DRA, SMSC, SMS HUB, SEPP including one or several of the following protocols SS7/SIGTRAN, MAP, Diameter, SCTP, GTP, IP networking. 
• Experience from operating mobile networks is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Python, Java or other languages and use of API including system integration is an advantage. 
• You have excellent knowledge of English language, written and spoken, at min B2 level
