Senior Technical Safety Engineer

We are now looking for Senior Technical Safety Engineers who can contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. You will get opportunities to work within our oil and gas segment as well as our renewable energy sector.


Your responsibilities: 

You will as a Technical Safety Engineer in Aibel get the opportunity to work in multidiscipline teams in studies, tenders, FEED and Detail Engineering. As part of the Technical Safety team you will have the opportunity to develop in following areas:

  • Area classification
  • Fire & Gas (F&G)/Emergency Shut Down (ESD)
  • Escape routes and evacuation means
  • Safety Integrity Level (SIL)
  • Passive Fire Protection (PFP)
  • Active Fire Protection

There may also be possibilities to take a Technical Safety Discipline Lead role dependent on your experience.



  • Master or Bachelor Degree
  • Min. 5 years relevant working experience in Oil & Gas Onshore/Offshore projects
  • Work experience from engineering projects for Norwegian Sector


Personal characteristics: 

  • Ability to work independently and thorough as well as ability to work in team
  • Good communication skills
  • Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
  • Be proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
  • Communicate well in English – both oral and in writing
  • Communication skills in Norwegian is preferable
