We are now looking for Senior Operation and Maintenance Engineers who can contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. We are strengthening our organization and are looking into building a multi-disciplinary team with a diverse background.

We encourage experienced candidates with a practical or managerial background as well as those with a more theoretical/academic understanding of Operation and Maintenance to apply.

As a Senior Operation & Maintenance Engineer in Aibel Field Development & Offshore Wind, you will have the opportunity to shape and define the O&M discipline. You will be involved in a multitude of projects within Aibel’s segments and will be working in a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and execution of projects from conceptual design up to commissioning and operations phases.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop operations and maintenance philosophies for different project phases
  • Assess access and logistical strategies for offshore installations
  • Develop and improve FMECA’s for equipment and systems
  • Interact with Engineering disciplines to understand systems’ functionality and ensure optimal design solutions at engineering phase with a focus on maintenance and operations
  • Develop a maintenance strategy for topsides equipment or structures looking into preventive / corrective maintenance and condition monitoring versus operational constrains.
  • Develop and justify condition monitoring program for unmanned offshore facilities
  • Work closely with RAM Engineer to ensure compliance with availability requirements
  • Use RCM and RBI methods to establish and develop maintenance programs
  • Perform and develop workload analysis
  • Analyse and develop spare part list in close collaboration with mechanical disciplines
  • Acquire a deep understanding of systems’ functionalities by applying practical experience or theoretical knowledge in conjunction with information provided by P&IDs, D&IDs, SLDs, Technical and Functional Specifications, equipment manuals, etc.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent within engineering
  • Min. 10 years’ experience within engineering projects or operations of offshore assets
  • Experienced engineer within one or more of the key disciplines; Operation and Maintenance, Process, Automation, Electro, Mechanical, Layout/Material Handling
  • Understanding of the principles behind Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM)
  • Experience with RCM and RBI is preferable but not required
  • Overview of rules and regulations within the applicable markets
  • Candidates with practical experience from field or engineering design will be considered
