Project Control Manager

Aibel is a leading service company within the upstream oil & gas and offshore wind industries. We provide our clients with optimal and innovative solutions within engineering, construction, modifications and maintenance throughout the entire life cycle. Aibel's skilled employees are located close to our customers at the company's eight offices in Norway and South East Asia. In addition, we operate two modern yards in Haugesund (Norway) and Laem Chabang (Thailand) with complete prefabrication and construction capabilities.


Your responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall financial project portfolio according to Contract, authority regulations and Aibel work processes 
  • Provide project management with commercial and contractual project analysis to ensure correct management decisions  
  • Communicate all potential commercial issues to project management to ensure needed adjustments and improved performance 
  • Proactively search for commercial opportunities and ensure materialization of these  
  • Ensure optimal commercial utilization of Contract and resolve contractual issues
  • Communicate with all parties involved in the contract to ensure that all understand the terms, particularly the Contract's financial aspects 
  • Assess risks and make recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation
  • Provide team with a clear sense of direction, inspire and co-ordinate people
  • Financial reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, secure result
  • Organize and lead the Project Control Organisation (Cost Control, Estimating, Contract/Subcontract, Administration and IT)
  • Coordinate invoices to client, change reports and quantity update reports

 Education and work experience:                        

  • Master of Business Administration, Master of Finance, Master of Science or equivalent (master level). Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications    
  • Commercial Manager/Project Control Manager from the oil and gas industry
