Our department consists of 102 dedicated colleagues, with international backgrounds, located across offices in Lyngby, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg, Vejle and Esbjerg. JOIN US AND LEAD A WELL FUNCTIONING SECTION OF DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS
We are looking for a Head of Section with experience from the energy sector and leading multidisciplinary teams. The section consists of 20 multi-disciplinary employees within biomass, waste to energy, green fuels and carbon capture – the seniority ranges from Student Assistant to Project Director. You will be a part of the department's management team and have close sparring with your peer leaders who work within line management, technical and project leadership. The commercial responsibility for business development is driven by you together with our business development managers.
You can look forward to an exciting position which includes:
- Day-to-day people management, ensuring competency development and well-being among your staff
- Develop and grow your section by recruiting, onboarding and retaining staff
- Resource planning & forecasting based on project pipeline and backlog
- Providing sparring and feedback to staff in relation to projects execution and technical topics
- Implementing department and sector plans
- Depending on your preferences, there will be ample opportunity for collaborating with customers/clients
ARE YOU OUR NEW HEAD OF SECTION FOR GREEN FUELS?
To enjoy this position, motivating, inspiring, and leading people should be among your favourite tasks. In addition, you are comfortable with change management, you possess a solid commercial mindset, and your experience enables you to successfully engage with customers. You are able to challenge status quo and devise innovative ways of transitioning further into the Power-to-X and carbon capture market in Denmark and abroad. You have great people skills and ability to manage cultural differences, furthermore you enjoy working in a versatile environment. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of enabling continuously competency development among your staff, as well as ensuring well-being and work-life balance in the section.
We would be thrilled to hear from candidates who resemble the following:
- A relevant degree, preferably in electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering
- 10 years of experience in a relevant role, e.g. within the biomass, process, waste to energy or petrochemical sector
- Exemplary leadership and people skills
- Experience from the consultancy or supplier sector is advantageous but not a requirement
- Leadership experience from a matrix organisation is advantageous but not a requirement
WORK LOCATION IN DENMARK
The position will be anchored at our HQ in Lyngby (The Capital area of Denmark). To be considered for the position, you should be willing to relocate.
