For our business to continue growing in the digital sphere, it needs the best financial tools and processes as possible. Therefore, Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is hiring for a role that will work with and lead the Finance Application and Process team, taking part in the important work as a bridge between business and IT/Application development to ensure good, efficient and lean processes.
The position will be responsible for development, maintenance and implementation of both business applications and business processes for Finance to ensure optimization. The role will be involved in projects from A-Z, as coordinator, project member and project manager and should take an active part in seeking opportunities for process automation and electronic solutions.
You will report to and work closely with the Finance & Accounting Director of WSS and have a functional reporting line to the Business Application Director. The role is close on our Application vendor and the Process teams for other functions, both within our central and regional organization. The position will lead the Finance team of Process Managers and have 3 direct reports.
What you will be doing
Other than what is mentioned above, the role has the following responsibilities
•Be involved in description, testing and approval of changes for our ERP system (IFS)
•Coordinate and follow-up towards our finance organization and relevant third parties to ensure requirements are clear
•Support our Application Operation vendor with functional expertise within the area of Incident-, Problem- and Change handling
•Ensure that new and existing finance business processes are developed, described, maintained, implemented and monitored
•Ensure development of training material and training execution
•Business Process auditing, travelling our global finance network
•Involved in various Finance Application projects, continuously improving the services to the business
Who you are
You have worked with Finance before and knows that world, so you can easily communicate with that part of the business. You have higher relevant education and a good knowledge of system automation and ERP systems like IFS, SAP or other relevant application. In addition, a good business understanding, and good communication skills will help you along the way.
Being solution oriented, structured and have the ability to work independently and systematically doesn’t hurt either. Some travelling must be expected.
