Job description

3D Perception is a leading provider of technology for advanced simulators for training and education, with headquarters in Asker and subsidiaries in the United States. Our products are used in the aviation industry, aerospace, shipping and within defense all over the world.

We have experienced great growth over the years, and see the need to strengthen our team with a Project Manager. The Project Manager will be a part of the Operations Department which has the responsibility of executing on all contracts made with the company. There will be a wide area of working tasks, ranging from managing, planning, and executing Projects, assisting the Sales Dept as well as assisting in QA related activities. This position involves some travel worldwide.

We are looking for you who take ownership of the role and can contribute with structure and implementation ability.   • Maintain overall responsibility for multiple projects through sound project management
  • Making sure the projects are organized and equipped to ensure safety is kept as priority #1. Of site as well as on site
  • Be a driver for project improvements
  • Actively search for threats and opportunities in the project organization
  • Assist Sales Dept with project estimations, technical issues or customer related activities
  • This position does not have any HR responsibilities

Typical tasks:

  • Project handover, planning, -tracking, -execution, -reporting, -finance and -resource allocations.
  • Liaise with customers on all technical, contractual and commercial issues
  • Coordinate technical compliance with Operations on all stages and R&D on development tasks and logistics on all shipping details
  • Management and coordination of assigned personnel and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Analyze and forecast potential problems and proactively resolve any issues with customers

Internal Sales Support:

  • Participate in contract reviews
  • Assist sales in technical discussions and provide cost estimations on future projects 
  • Participate in customer meetings with sales in-house or at customer locations


  • A Masters degree in mechanical or electronics engineering, or other degree with relevant experience
  • Project management certification: PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent
  • Other relevant technical/operational experience, preferably multinational
  • Organizational, practical and communication skills and an ability to manage contractual, commercial and technical issues
  • Experience in successfully leading projects on-schedule and within budget close
  • Being able to build and maintain relationships by engaging customers to establish credibility, building consensus and achieve objects
  • Technically competent with various software programs. CAD knowledge is beneficial
  • Determined and innovative
  • Solid organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Well structured, energetic and forward looking 
  • Attention to critical detail and multitasking skills 
  • Strong leadership, motivational and diplomatic skills  (written, verbal and presentation in English)
