Development Engineer within the field of Cybernetics

On behalf of Sandvik Coromant in Trondheim, Academic Work is now looking for a Development Engineer within the field of Cybernetics to the R&D department someone who is excited by the opportunity to join a researching organization on this innovative journey and contribute in the creation of new, advanced solutions.

Stillingsbeskrivelse

As a Development Engineer, you are responsible for analyzing dynamic systems, as well as for collecting and interpreting data from metal cutting processes for both current offerings and new products. By using mathematical models and simulations along with your competence in cybernetics, you increase the understanding of tools and processes. In collaboration with programmers and designers you develop algorithms for digital offers and improvements of physical tools. You combine your work using digital tools for analysis and development, with more hands-on test activities in production. In addition, you are involved in relevant customer contacts to ensure quality and customer value.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Masters in Engineering and broad technical understanding of mathematics and cybernetics, acquired from either studies or from previous work experience within the field. Your knowledge of tools for modelling and simulations are highly valuable in this position. You have excellent skills in Norwegian or Swedish, and good understanding of English.

Your personality is of great importance to us. You are both a self-starter and a true team player, and you use these characteristics as assets in achieving results in your daily work. Working together with your team members and sharing knowledge and information comes naturally to you, and your structured approach enables you to identify small details as well as the overall picture.
