For one of our clients we are searching for a Concept & Layout Engineer.


3D-modelling of: Tender phase concept development of offshore topside modules and onshore modules with free standing tanks and towers. This requires creativity and experience for the optimal concept for weight, space and cost. For skids - detailed layout including structure, piping isometrics, piping and equipment supporting, cable trays, tubing routing, instrument hook-up, etc. Preparation of MTO:s in addition to the modelling.


Microstation PlantSpace for modelling. The concept development is based on the import and modification of models created in old versions of Microstation by several different design engineers. A conversion to Bentley Open Plant is on-going. A good software knowledge is required.

Type of skids /modules:

Oil separation. Sea water injection including filtration, sulphate removal and deaeration. Produced water treatment with hydrocyclones and gas flotation. Gas dehydration (TEG). Sand removal. MEG regeneration and reclamation.


Ranging from 100 ton offshore skids to 2 000 ton offshore modules. Onshore plants consisting of several 200 ton – 500 ton modules spread out on a typical plot area of 50 m X 150 m with free standing equipment and interconnecting pipe racks.


Must be very independent and self-going. Should be capable to take a lay-out lead position, if the on-going tenders end with an order. Minimum supervision will be provided. High flexibility is required as the work will vary from detailed engineering on small offshore skids to concept development of large onshore plants. The tasks will vary from hands-on modelling to a potential lead position with follow up of a detailed engineering contractor and interfaces with the fabrication yard

Mainly Oslo, but with potential later relocation to Asia.
