Provide consultancy services

As a certification engineer your key responsibilities will be to provide guidance to clients for material handling, lifting issues, assistance in CE marking and risk assessments.  Further, you will classify lifting equipment under relevant standards, inspection, issue certificates or control cards. Another part of the job is to perform inspections and assess lifetime of cranes.

You will work as an independent consultant as well as in a project team. With your in depth knowledge and experience you will contribute as a mentor to junior employees and take part in professional technical discussions.

You will work with task such as:  

  • Inspection and assessment of cranes as well as perform lifetime analyses
  • Consultancy within lifting, certification and annual control of lifting equipment and cranes
  • CE marking of machinery, equipment and production lines
  • Risk assessment of machinery, equipment and production lines
  • Technical client meetings for project kick offs
  • Tenders
  • Project management

Some travel activity may occur from time to time.

Outgoing, flexible and a great deal of self-dependence

As a person you have a high drive and engagement reflecting positively on your surroundings, and when working on a project you use your structured, organised and detail-oriented skill set. You take responsibility for your tasks and projects and you always put the client first. As a trusted advisor, you guide and provide excellent solutions to our clients.

Among your personal competencies are your solid communication skills which you use to build trustful relations, internally as well as externally. Finally, you have a good commercial understanding and you embrace changes and obstacles with a positive mind-set.

To be a success, you have the following skills:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree within mechanical or marine engineering
  • Min. 10 years of experience with the above-mentioned tasks from onshore/offshore industry
  • Experience with Machinery Directive and NORSOK R002, DNV standards etc
  • Experience with relevant guidelines and regulations within machinery
  • Offshore certificate is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Fluent in oral and written Norwegian and English
