Combining design of instrumentation and safety systems with project management
As our new automation engineer you will be responsible for technical design in accordance with our contracts and international standards. Most of our projects are multidisciplinary and will provide you the opportunity to work in close collaboration with electrical-, process-, safety-, mechanical-, structural- and maintenance colleagues. Throughout our project work, we maintain a continuous and close collaboration with our clients.
We offer you the opportunity to work with tasks such as:
- Act as project manager on instrumentation projects which include estimation and control of cost, time and resources.
- Be the main point of contact for our clients, and make sure that their expectations are met, and that we deliver high quality on time.
- Perform early phase studies and front-end engineering
- Specification of field instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters, metering and analysers, fire and gas detectors, including the hook-up and cabling of these instruments.
- Specification of control and safety systems.
High professionalism with a result-oriented focus on clients
Among your personal competencies, exceptional communication skills are necessary to be a trusted advisor to our clients throughout the project execution. When working on projects, you use your strong specialist skills and apply your analytical approach and high professionalism, both in relation to own tasks but also when sparring with your colleagues. It is natural for you to collaborate across disciplines and to build good relations with clients as well as colleagues. Finally, you are structured, result-oriented and have the drive and impact to manage projects.
To succeed in this role, you need the following competencies:
- A Bachelor’s- or Master’s degree in either Electrical Engineering, Electronic and computer, Information- and communication technology, Electro, Energy technology or Marine Engineering with a background as electrician
- Min. 5 years of relevant experience from one of following areas:
Automation, Distributed Control Systems and knowledge to specification of programming
Instrumentation and metering
- Excellent communication skills in English is a must and Danish language knowledge is an advantage

Our dedicated Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom department, which today counts 30 colleagues, provides designs and engineering for all types of control and safety systems, including SCADA/DCS and safeguard/ESD/Fire and Gas/HIPPS systems. We also offer expertise in field instrumentation and metering systems. We ensure that the client's safety philosophy is fully integrated into the design of elements such as ESD systems, emergency power systems, fire and gas detection, as well as passive and active fire protection.
Globally, there is a general push towards renewables, although conventional energy will continue to play a significant role in the energy mix in the coming years. Major players in the energy sector change their portfolio and strategies to accommodate for the green transition. A holistic approach is required to support the sector on this journey.
